Catbalogan Water District Watershed Programs Status (As of  October, 2013).
One of the Core Values of Catbalogan Water District is Environmental Stewardship. Along with this value, the CWD continuously conducts tree planting activities and watershed monitoring.

As shown below, for nine (9) years of tree planting activities, the district planted seedlings on a total area of 150.25 hectares inside the watershed. For year 2013, a total of 59,826 seedlings were planted in the watershed area. The variety of  seedlings that were planted includes Igot, Manggyom, Caimito, Langka, Acacia, Avocado, Barite, Santol, Pili, Ilang-ilang, Marang, Guyabano, Mahogany, Bayog, Lawaan, Petsaragon, Mahogany, Kakaw, Kubby, Bayog, Tugop, Narra, Pili, and Mamiting. Their growth was monitored regularly. Most of the seeds planted are fruit bearing trees to provide optional livelihood for the settlers nearby the watershed area.

The district also received support from the community specifically from the different schools, colleges, and university. The following agencies donated seedlings for the tree planting activities: PBSP - 7,000; Municipal Nursery - 2,500; DENR - 1,250.

CWD also participated in different environment related activities. Last  August 8, 2009,   CWD joined in the Call to Save the Antiao or Catbalogan Watershed during the Environment Day Celebration. Last September 30, 2013, CWD also joined the Philippine Civil Service Tree Planting Activity in Lagundi as part of their 113th Anniversary.
